Iowa --

Three observations:

1) Howard Dean is psychotic. Anyone who saw him rant and rave last night must admit that this man simply cannot be president.

2) The caucus system is a joke. Anonymous voting is one of the cornerstones of the modern democrative process. Making people take three hours out of their lives to get up in front of their friends, neighbors, family, and business associates, then even perhaps try to persuade others towards their man is not the way to get representative results. "Viability thresholds"? No -- one man, one vote, in a booth, just you and your conscience. By the way, only 20% of registered Democrats participated in this caucus, and this was a high turnout year. I didn't see anyone under the age of 40 at these damn things, which, by the way are often held in people's homes (home field advantage much?). How these hokey old people get to be kingmakers is beyond me.

3) If John Edwards is for real, I would vote for him ten times.
