A life lesson from me to you*
It has been my experience that success or failure in any endeavor often depends on your ability to perform well at certain times which are of crucial importance. Steady, dependable, and competant actions over extended periods of time can be completely negated by a poor or inconsistent showing at these more critical times. The converse is also true -- getting it done when it counts can make up for other shortcomings. In other words, some times are more important than others.
Or, to put it even another way, you have to make the most of your opportunities.
