the good old days

Back in the day the world had structure, goddamn it -- I'm talking about a cognizable social order. Everybody knew their role. For example, it used to be that at most weddings, the new couple's first dance would be to "It's a Man's World", and everybody basically understood what that meant.

It's like, you have a hive of bees, right. Each bee has a job. If your job is to get pollen, then you would be the best fucking pollen-retrieving bee in the whole colony. Or at least you'd work your abdomen off and try to be the best. Did pollen gathers want to be honey-makers? HELL NO !! But, you know what, the thing of it was, if you really want to get right down to it, people were a helluva lot happier back then ... when the social roles were more defined and such.

Nowadays we have worker bees getting pollen and women in Congress, so who knows what the frig to think anymore.
