The sweet science

When I was home last week I watched a little boxing with the old man. Back in the day, I used to watch boxing quite a bit. Here's all you need to know about boxing -- there's nothing better than a great fight, and nothing worse than a bad one. You just can't beat a slugfest. Too bad that for every one good fight there are about 10 stinkers.

The main event was Golota (the dumb Pollack that refused to come out for the thrid round against Tyson and lost two fights in a row againt Riddick Bowe (??) for low blows) v. Lamar Brewester. The fight was in Chicago, so the Polish pride was out in force. Brewester looks a little bit like Mike Tyson, and not just because he's black. They both have that same body type -- shortish and like a bulldog. To call Golota a dolt is to insult dolts ... he is one of the dumbest fighters/people ever.

So after about 25 minutes of pre-fight bullshit, etc., Brewster knocked Golota down three times in 57 seconds for the TKO. It was ugly. Your man was throwing absolute heymakers, and Golota was stumbling around like Bald Bull. Then Brewster went on for 15 minutes about how God helped him win ... hmmm.
