MAMA SAID EAT YOUR VEGETABLES

We live in scary scary times.

Today, in a press conference in which he announced the creation of a National Intelligence Director, President Bush said that even knowing what he knows now he would still go ahead with the war in Iraq.

But wait, I thought the rationale for the war was that there was an immediate threat that Saddam Hussein was actively building WMD and might use them against us and/or give them to al Quaeda. I also thought that it has become abundantly clear that: a)Iraq doesn't have WMD, and b) their ties to al Qaeda are minimal at best.

Is the world better off without Saddam Hussein? Of course. The world would also be better off without Kim Jung Il -- should we go in there tomorrow as well?

THE POINT IS YOU LIED ABOUT WHY WE WENT TO WAR.

An honest mistake based on intelligence everybody thought to be true is one thing, this is another bird altogether.
