Pre law school self analysis 

Without having taken any law related classes, here is what I think about law:

Laws, even arbitrary ones, are generally good because they make life predictable.

Laws are just rules written by people, interpreted by people, and enforced by people. Laws may strive to uphold some moral ideal, but they also may not. In a democracy, laws are written by the dominant morality; however, ideally they are interpreted even-handedly so as to protect minorities in accordance with more fundametal liberal principles.
