Kerry for Jackass --
I don't know if anybody has been watching the news lately, but things are not looking too good right now for Bush -- Dick Clarke, now Condi Rice being forced to testify, Iraq looking more and more like a quagmire every day ... but where's Kerry?
Getting shoulder surgery ???
Obviously you can't blame the guy if he needs surgery, but damn if this isn't the worst timing. He could be on the TV every night pounding Bush to great effect. I don't know, maybe he thinks the news speaks for itself and he can hold back, look the bigger man, not use all his bullets too early.
All I know is I see ads for Bush every day undermining Kerry's record on the economy -- touting all the various votes he's made over 19 years in the Senate. Of course that's pretty unfair since half of these provisions were probably buried on page 11,000 of the Beef Testicle Prohibition Act of 1992, but, negative ads work.
Say, why do you think Bush, the self-styled wartime president, isn't trumping up his war record? I guess four mutilated Americans, soldiers dying daily, an unnecessary war, and a country that looks primed for civil war aren't great selling points.
By the way, will WMD go down in history as the new "Remember the Maine"?
