Iraq votes 2K5
Well I for one am shocked that this election has gone so well. There was some violence, but it wasn't enough to keep the people away. The next question is -- will this government be recognized as legitimate?
Maybe the insurgents are more interested in letting this election go forward so they can declare the new government invalid than in preventing the election itself ... who knows.
This lucky ass was just happy to be voting for the first time. Donkies were very harshly discriminated against under the previous Baathist regime.
A little known factor that is contributing to the high turnout is that each voter is being given as much contraceptive jelly as he can fit on his longest finger.
