and the lights just went out

I don't know what just happened, but half of the lights in the apartment just went out ... and the TV ... and the -- gulp -- goddamn fucking air conditioning. Hopefully this is a temporary thang.

Through age 30:

Alex Rodriguez
LEX RODRIGUEZ -- JULY 27, 2005
YR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG SB
12 1,528 5,958 1,197 1,825 327 24 409 1,176 695 1,201 .306 .384 .575 214

Babe Ruth
BABE RUTH -- FEB. 6, 1925
YR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG SB
11 1,100 3,565 925 1,251 270 83 284 889 881 599 .351 .482 .712 72

Ted Williams
TED WILLIAMS -- AUG. 30, 1948 (stats through '48 season)
YR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG SB
7 1,029 3,655 932 1,294 275 53 222 879 939 328 .354 .488 .640 15

There are a couple of amazing things on this list:

1) A-Rod's home runs

2) Babe Ruth's OBP and SLG

3) Ted Williams' (lack of) strikeouts

But by far the most amazing stat above is Babe Ruth's triples ... 83 triples. I guess he did run well for a fat man.
