Very hot today. I actually don't think I can remember a more miserable day ... ever, maybe. It's the kind of day that makes you wonder how it'll ever be cold again. Maybe it won't.
How do we know that winter will come? Because it always has. But how do we know that the fact that winter has always come before means that it will come again? Because our experiences tell us that nature is uniform.
Well then we are assuming that which we meant to prove.
