It was just a dream ... a dream ... a dream ... 

There are a lot of commercials on lately where a guy is in a store or whatever with a salesperson and then they share in the cutsomer's dream sequence. Circuit city has one -- so does Comcast. Beth and I were watching TV, and I just expressed my general unhappiness with those commercials -- as I am prone to do. Beth made the more convincing point that it is unlikely for two people to share the same dream, especially at the same time. That definitely is a more satisfying explaination for why those commercials suck.

Beth has a similar problem with musicals -- she finds it unrealistic not only that people spontaneously break into song, but that they all break into the SAME song. Good point.
