Cattle prods and the I M F
The IMF is holding its annual meeting this weekend in DC. Their headquarters also happens to be right across the street from the law school -- so you can imagine my surprise yesterday when I turned the corner and right in front of the school there was a garbage truck parked in the middle of the street and ten cops on every corner. Take no chances, you know.
Now today they have erected those big conrete obstacles and you can't even get onto the street the school is on without ID. Granted, I have not seen one protester yet, but blah blah blah.
At orientation, the dean in charge of the physical plant gave us the supremely wise guidance to run away from the flaming IMF buildings in the event of a terrorist attack. No shit Sherlock.
