The 90s
Lisa Loeb's got a reality show now. My first instinct is to note that the reality craze has taken over the host like a powerful infection, but I actually like Lisa Loeb.
How long ago was it when her one song came out? It must be almost 10, but yet she looks exactly the same ... hmmm.
In this show, she's looking for a new boyfriend. So it's a reality series with a goal ... not the best of premises. Think about it, it's a search that has to fail. If she actually finds a boyfriend, then the show's over.
The first blind date does a completely predictable and amazingly uncomfortable karaoke rendition of "Stay". As if that didn't ruin his chances right there, he prefaced the number by saying, "Here's a song that I couldn't get out of my head for 10 years."
Well at least he said what we all were thinking.
